MIRI: Young leaders in Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) were urged to increase their knowledge and skills in view of the impending state election.

Besides that, they need to be robust and have high fighting spirit in upholding and safeguarding the fate of the people, PKR Miri chairman and Miri MP Dr Michael Teo stressed.

He anticipated the next state election to be a fierce one as it would be a battle to win the Sarawak government from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

“However, young leaders should not easily give up in fighting for the party’s vision and mission but be more active in registering new members, especially those in the rural areas,” he reminded.

Dr Teo said this while officiating at the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Leadership Training at a hotel here yesterday.

Over 30 young PKR leaders from Miri, Sibuti, Lawas, Limbang, Bintulu, Igan and Baram participated in the leadership training conducted by Reformist Sarawak chairman Iswordy Morni.

Also present was Romli Ishak, the political secretary to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
